Item A

The college library can be given the name of “Learning Resource Centre”.

The name change of the Library as “Learning Resource Centre” was passed in the Governing Body Meeting. Further the Librarian, Dr. Deepti Khatri apprised all the members that the name plate change in and outside the library as soon as the vendor is contacted.

 

 

Item B

The college should organise various workshops for students on variety of aspects related to research work, Internet Literacy, Information Literacy, Creative Writing etc.

The college organised 21 workshops during the period of 6 months from January to June 2021. Resource persons from IIMs, Consultancy firms, Microsoft, Cisco, and Morgan Stanley to cover areas related to research, Internet Literacy, creative writing, communication. Besides this, the college took the help of a psychiatrist Dr. Namita Decca for mental well being of the students due to pandemic/lockdown situation.

 

 

 

 

Item C

The college should organise various Faculty Development Programmes on variety of aspects related to research work and academic quality to enhance the research quality and teaching learning experience overall.

 

 

 

 

 

Item D

The college must conduct a good quality study/survey to analyse the problems faced by the students in the online mode of teaching and learning.

 

 

Item E

The college must have more companies for internships as well as placements for better opportunities to students.   

 

A workshop was conducted for the faculty and on Data Science with a Professor from IIM Bangalore.

 

Few Faculty Development Programs were organised by college/SIIF on Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship models.

 

 

 

Feedback was taken from students regarding the online teaching mode and most of the students are happy and satisfied with the efforts put in by the teachers.

 

 

 

On campus placements have broken all past records with 21 new companies on board. The average package has gone from 6 LPA to 8.23 LPA, median 6 LPA to 7.69 LPA and from highest number of offers for student placement from 179 to 186. Already more than 200 students placed for internship from the campus.

 

3) To discuss a road map of the steps to be taken to improve the learning environment of the college

  1. It was suggested that a repository of all the online recorded lectures to be created to be used as an archive in the future.
  2. It was suggested that as a part of New Education Policy the college should come up with plans to integrate the experiential learning with the existing curriculum and mode of teaching using the Internet and ethical/organic online resources.
  3. To conduct workshops/webinars/talks by the experts for students about the future of Higher Education especially with reference to mode of teaching.
  4. To conduct workshops/webinars/talks by the experts from the industry, to prepare the students about the pros and cons of new working culture followed by the companies and the future scenario of working in the corporate.
  5. To have more academic partnerships for skill building among students to make them more confident and job ready in the online mode with the help of experts from the industry.     

 

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the chairperson (Principal) where she appreciated the valuable inputs from Prof. Gaur (University representative), Prof. Ratnoo and Ms. Yogja (Corporate representative). The chairperson also thanked all the members of IQAC for their contribution.
