About The Course

NSE Academy Certified Capital Market Professional (NCCMP) is a short duration 100 hours (4-6 Months) weekend course launched jointly by “Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS): An esteemed college of University of Delhi” and “NSE Academy Ltd: A wholly owned subsidiary of National Stock Exchange (NSE)”to impart knowledge and awareness about the securities market and thereby upgrade the skills and proficiency of the participants of the course.

Rationale

The course curriculum of the University needs to be supplemented by a short duration course to impart knowledge and skills required to understand the working of financial markets. The students need to be exposed to the perspective of the industry professionals. This course gives an opportunity to the students to add value to their knowledge and understanding acquired through the academic curriculum.

Aims

Expecting to build a solid foundation of financial market and its functioning, this course has been designed to impart knowledge of financial Market, Derivatives, Trading System, Fundamental & Technical Analysis and Market Operations.

Learning Outcomes

A student completing this course should be capable of understanding and devising trading strategies with the help of technical. They should be able to value a firm to make investment decisions. They should be able to form hedging strategies by using a mix of derivative products.

Objectives

The course shall provide sufficient knowledge of application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in financial market & services and for business and research data analytics – Introduction to business and financial research problem, Use of corporate databases like Prowess and Capitaline in research. Use of analytical softwares (in analysis of big-data) like SPSS, STATA, Eviews and R in research.

Target Audience

Students, working professionals and faculty who want to get an understanding of the working of the financial markets.

Future Prospects

A student completing this course will be fit to apply for internships and jobs in the financial markets. This certification adds value to the resume of a student such that their chances of being preferred for a finance profile (job/internship) is much greater than the other students. It also exposes the student to various sub disciplines of financial markets so that the student can decide in which sub discipline he/she would want to specialize in.
