The first phase of bio-leather prototyping explored the potential of Brewer’s Spent Grain (BSG) as a sustainable raw material for developing a leather alternative. Initial formulations and processing techniques were tested to understand the material’s texture, flexibility, strength, and durability. This phase laid the foundation for further refinement and development of a viable BSG-based bio-leather prototype.
