Biography

Saumya Jain holds the distinction of being the Delhi University Gold medalist in both undergraduate and postgraduate examinations. An alumna of Shri Ram College of Commerce, she started her teaching career at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and later joined Shri Ram College of Commerce. She has been the recipient of the prestigious Posco Asia Fellowship for academic excellence at the college level and was awarded the R.L Gupta medal for highest marks in Advanced Accountancy at the undergraduate level. Her Ph.D is in the area of accounting standards specifically the impact of IFRS in the Indian context. Her areas of interest include Accounting and Statistics. Her research papers in the field of accounting standards, financial literacy, Corporate Social Responsibility & law have been published in reputed national and international journals
