What We Do

Young Indians (Yi) is a movement for Indian Youth to converge, lead, co-create and influence India’s future. As an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organisation playing a proactive role in India’s development process.
It conducts learning sessions with industry experts to impart experiential learning through interactions and discussions.
The Yuva chapter provides its members with unique networking opportunity through an opportunity to participate in major Yi events, learning programs, youth conclaves.

Key Events in 2019-20

  • Huddle and Boardroom discussion:- In Huddle, a group discussion took place where the participants discussed about their real – life experiences and how it impacted and changed their lives. All the participants had a healthy discussion and learned a lot from the experiences shared
  • Further, the boardroom discussion was a simulation cum group discussion activity, where the participants had to play the roles of several stakeholders involved in the Satyam Scam.
  • Delhi youth conclave:- It was a YI Yuva conclave organised entirety by the student members of CII YI. It had many events like a boardroom discussion on the trending topics like the Jet Airways crisis and the CCD crisis, and a Techzone where the future of technology was on display.
  • Orientation session:- The orientation session of the SSCBS chapter of CII YI was conducted on 1st November. It was Mr Sreevats Gopalakrishnan, chair of the Delhi chapter. Students were enlightened about the objectives and aims of YI, and the a basic introduction about the CII YI Yuva program.
  • Mohan foundation:- It was a week-long winter internship with a reputed NGO. YI SSCBS members had an opportunity to gain a hands-on experience in the real world and participate to further the social cause.

Upcoming Events in 2020-21

  1. Tech Mahindra: 180 DC SSCBS is partnering with Mahindra Defence Systems in the operation of India’s National Emergency Response System 112 in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan by conducting an impact analysis of the efficiency of communication protocol, its performance against international standards to design an outreach program to raise awareness about the NERS across regions and demographics.
  2. InfinityBox: 180 DC SSCBS is collaborating with InfinityBox to provide them with an optimum social media strategy undertaking primary and secondary research to discover which channels would be the most suitable to their business model. We are also conducting an sensitivity analysis to examine the effect that influencers, mascots, stories, a carefully curated feed, paid promotion, stories, podcasts, hashtags and frequency of posting etc. have on the impression that a brand leaves on its audience’s mind and how these tools can be utilised by Infinity Box to maximise its reach.
