Biography

Prof. Neeraj Kumar Sehrawat, an Alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and FMS (University of Delhi) is an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance at Shaheed Sukhdev of Business Studies (SSCBS). In 2020, he became the proud recipient of the Best Professor Award by Government of NCT of Delhi. His research activities focus on the financial strategies that companies use to revitalize their business and improve performance and create value when operating in challenging business environment. In his academic career, he has published research papers and articles, which have garnered international praise from leading academic and practitioner journals. The same is testified through the recognition of his research work in national and international fora. Some of the prominent conferences include World Finance Conference (New York 2016), India Finance Conference and JAAF Symposium; organized by institutes of national eminence such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, ISB Hyderabad and CMIE. He has also been an invited chairperson for multiple sessions in India finance conference at various IIMs.

He is also a renowned author, famous for his three books on Corporate Valuation, Ind-AS & IFRS and Goods & Services Tax (GST). Apart from these, he is the current Editor-in-Chief of Amar Research Journal: An UGC-Approved Interdisciplinary Research Journal. As the Principal Investigator of two Innovation Projects at the University of Delhi, he has led teams of academic researchers in the field of “Predicting the financial crises of the companies based upon cash flow statements: An Innovative Approach” and “Quantify the impact of IFRS adoption on corporate reporting practices in India: An Empirical Investigation”– securing funding to the tune of over INR 10 lakhs across three years.

He has conceptualized and headed short duration courses, including “Integrated Financial Modeling & Financial Econometrics” by Bombay Stock Exchange and “NSE Certified Capital Market Professional” by National Stock Exchange and “Digital Marketing” by Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, University of Delhi. On the professional front, he is on advisory board of various Indian private corporates and start-up firms. Some of his endeavors in various Management Development Programs and Faculty Development Programs are as follows:

  • Faculty Development Program on “Use of Contemporary research tool and analysis software used in research” at SSCBS, University of Delhi.
  • Faculty Development program on “Panel data Analysis using Stata and Solving the problem of endogeneity using 2SLS” organized by Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University Delhi.
  • Resource person at “International seminar on contemporary issues and predictive models in accounting and finance” by DSPSR, IP University.
