FMA India is the first-ever chapter of the Financial Management Association (FMA) International in India. Established in 1970, the FMA International is a global leader in developing and disseminating knowledge about financial decision-making. With more than 3,000 student members in 175+ active chapters in the US, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, China, and Australia, FMA’s Student Chapter provides networking opportunities, career development resources, and exclusive finance-related content.

We conduct an in-depth investigation of diverse phenomena and assumptions, as well as delineated intellectual property on topics such as “Derivatives” and “IPO & startups.”

FMA India organized a masterclass presided over by Mr. T.J. Walker, Public Speaking Master and Founder of Media Training Worldwide. He has trained Presidents, Prime Ministers, Nobel Peace Prize winners, Super Bowl champions, US Senators, Miss Universes, and members of Parliament. He spoke about Public Speaking and Presentation Techniques for any situation, audience, or skill level. He gave various tips on how to improve your public speaking abilities.
FMA India organized various speaker sessions in collaboration with industry experts, allowing students to learn about a certain topic.
Mr. Praveen Kumar, the former MD, and CEO of SBI Capital Markets joined us for an in-depth discussion of the various opportunities and challenges in financial services that have evolved as a result of the epidemic. Similarly, Senior Analysts from reputable organizations such as Amazon and Centrum India gave their valuable insights on various metrics that may be utilized for business valuation and shed some light on the topic of distressed valuation. Three excellent IIM students Alumnus shared insights with the audience on various types of private financing, as well as breaking down the structure of a Private Equity Fund through examples.
Women in Finance is a social initiative taken by FMA India. WIF’s principal objective was to dismantle the irrational and false bias that undervalues women’s leadership qualities.

FMA India has launched a podcast called Financial Digest, which contains exclusive content recorded during FMA webinars for all finance lovers to assist them to understand the nuances of the ever-increasing financial area in greater depth.
FMA India partnered on a FinTech project with a SaaS start-up to explore the feasibility of developing Core Banking Products that will help Neo Bank customers make the most of their savings. It will involve studies on how to make the best use of funds and analysis of consumer demographics.
FMA India will embark on an international collaborative research project with FMA International’s other chapters located across the globe. The project would include extensive research and analysis of the numerous issues at hand. After completion, the project will be published in a journal as a literature review for both chapters.
FMA India students will work as Investment Banking Associates for an investment banking and consultancy firm, assisting startups and corporations in raising funds, gaining new market access, forming strategic relationships, and growing. It will encompass updating to and preparing pitch decks, working on the company’s financials and valuations, as well as presenting the final proposal to investors.
