What We Do

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies Branch of 180 Degrees Consulting is an international student consultancy that works with socially conscious organizations to help them achieve a greater social impact. Our team devised solutions from both a business and social perspective.

We meet the needs of organizations for very affordable, high-quality research and strategic advice by utilizing the untapped potential of our college’s talent. With the support of a global network spread around 33 countries, 180 Degrees Consulting is the perfect platform for non-profit organisations to get away with any hindrance that is becoming a roadblock in their road to making a better world.

Key Achievements in 2019-20

Alumnus Session

A learning session on Essentials for Consulting was organised for the budding consultants of our team.
The session was headed by Harjas Gulati and Pratyush Agarwal. Harjas is an alumnus of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, currently working with Accel Partners, one of the biggest venture capital firms in the industry, while Pratyush is an Analyst at Bain & Company.
The session gave us insights on client acquisition, team optimisation, research techniques and intellectual property creation.

Intellectual Property Creation

We conducted Industry Research and articulated client-specific intellectual properties on the following sectors:

• Inventory Management in Hospitals
• Blood Banks

Knowledge Sharing Sessions

Knowledge Sharing Sessions were regularly organized for the freshman consultants on various topics that are essential for consulting like Guesstimates and MS Excel.

Live Projects Completed

1. Asha Impact
A. 180 Degrees Consulting worked with Asha Impact to develop their outreach and communications strategy for India’s first MOOC on Impact Investing, and then helped the firm to implement this strategy.

B. The focus of our communications strategy was to establish the relevance and the impact that the industry had to create, making the product attractive as it was to students, job seekers and those willing to understand new forms of business.

C. Their outreach increased by 200% and active user traffic by over 50% for the MOOC.

2. The India Craft Project
A. Our team collaborated with The India Craft Project and designed the go-to-market strategy for their initiative.

B. We designed the cost structure along with the revenue model along with extensive competitor analysis and market research and assisted TICP collaborate with AugTraveller, a VR based tourism app, on a revenue-sharing model.

Upcoming Events in 2020-21

  1. Tech Mahindra: 180 DC SSCBS is partnering with Mahindra Defence Systems in the operation of India’s National Emergency Response System 112 in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan by conducting an impact analysis of the efficiency of communication protocol, its performance against international standards to design an outreach program to raise awareness about the NERS across regions and demographics.
  2. InfinityBox: 180 DC SSCBS is collaborating with InfinityBox to provide them with an optimum social media strategy undertaking primary and secondary research to discover which channels would be the most suitable to their business model. We are also conducting an sensitivity analysis to examine the effect that influencers, mascots, stories, a carefully curated feed, paid promotion, stories, podcasts, hashtags and frequency of posting etc. have on the impression that a brand leaves on its audience’s mind and how these tools can be utilised by Infinity Box to maximise its reach.
